About The Ultimate Wedding Game

In early 2022, my wife was asked to organize her brother's wedding. Like many bridesmaids, she was looking for ways to make the celebration memorable and engaging for all guests. We wanted something that would break the ice, create laughter, and give everyone a chance to participate.

We researched all kind of wedding games and activities and went through all the weddings we've attended.

Most wedding games we found were either:

• Too basic: Simple printed sheets that were hard to read and lacked the excitement of real-time results
• Too complex: Overly complicated apps that required every guest to download software or create accounts, also not made for weddings
• Too expensive: Professional entertainment packages that cost hundreds of dollars for what should be a simple fun game
• Too rigid: Pre-made quizzes with generic questions that didn't reflect the unique couple's relationship

As a software developer, I realized I could build something better—a wedding game that would:

• Work for everyone: No apps to download, no accounts needed. Just scan a QR code and play from any phone
• Feel magical: Couple voting paired with guest votes displayed on a big screen, creating genuine excitement and collective moments
• Be customizable: Couples or organizers could create their own questions or choose from a curated library
• Look beautiful: Professional themes and visual polish that would impress guests and aligns with the wedding theme
• Stay affordable: One-time pricing per event, not recurring subscriptions that don't make sense for a single-day celebration

I coded the prototype in a few days and just finished the night before my brother-in-law's wedding. We played it without a proper test and it was a banger! Since this wedding, guests still remember the game and ask me how they can use it for a wedding they are organizing. That's when I realized this could help thousands of other couples create the same kind of magical, participatory experience we wanted for this celebration.
